The "SIGNAL" page shows the information from the integrated 3G modem.


If no information is shown on this page it can indicate that the machine is not able to connect to any network.


Common causes of this are no signal, no Sim card, faulty Sim card or faulty modem.


The most relevant information is Signal Quality and Signal Strength.


Signal Quality is a number followed by the current state in brackets, if the modem is connected this should read "Recent" if it is not currently connected but has connected recently it will say "Cached"


Signal Strength is a rating from Poor to Excellent, Note, Machine with Poor signal may lose some remote features such as the news feed

Status

       State: shows the registration state of the modem

       Signal Quality: shows the signal quality as a number see signal quality for a breakdown of this number

       Bands: shows the operating band

       Access Tech: the modem type being used

3GPP

       Registration: how the modem is registered

       Operator code: the dialling code used for the modem

       Operator name: the currently used network operator


Signal Strength : ( Strength)
